Rob MacIntosh is an incredibly diverse artist which allows him to expand his ability and paint a broad spectrum of subjects. He did not receive a formal education. His ability comes from his passion within.
He paints predominantly in oils but likes to mix his medium with acrylic which the art market refers to as mixed medium. His early paintings were seascapes and landscapes; he then ventured into wildlife found his desire for realism growing. Rob MacIntosh’s focus on detail developed, along with his strict attention to the anatomical perfection of the animal in his paintings.
He currently resides in South Africa where he holds a respected place among South African artists, although his work has an international essence, reflecting the wildlife and landscapes of many regions. His awards he won in America, his second home is Tucson Arizona.
